Engine Bay Paint decision help

I just got done priming my engine bay wondering what color to paint it. I've been back and forth on white or black the car is white from the factory only its old and its faded and has a yellowish tinge to it that white things get when they get old otherwise I think it would look really good painted the same color as the car, but on the other hand I saw a candy apple red gt in 5.0 mustang magazine with it painted black and it looked really good also. Any opinions?

yea I was leaning toward black but others have said white would look so much better

I would definitly go black. Chrome will stand out better and imagine how hard its going to be to keep white clean. Just look at your engine bay right now...

krylon makes a HAMMERED FINISH paint in black, looks great and is very durable. did the engine bay in my wagon with it, still looks good after 2 years.

Yup cleaning a white engine bay is going to be a PITA to get everything spotless...black will hide some of the imperfections. BLAck

well then its clear what you guys think... thanks for the help I think I'm going to go black do you guys recommend using a spray gun and paint because I do have access to a gun and paint or should I just use spraypaint any opinions on that?

I think a spray gun would be best, it'll do a better job. Although its under the hood which isn't seen a whole lot so a spray can would do the job. I'd still go with spray gun if you have access

I'm going to be different and vote on white.

Black goes with everything, but if you paint it white and keep the engine and engine components looking good, the white paint will really set it all off.

I have to agree with Feen on this too...the reason I said black is the upkeep of the engine. With white, you really need to stay on top of it, speaking for owning a white Fox.

I went Blue, Blacks too plain and whites too hard to keep clean. IMO both are too stock...
