Question 1993 Mustang LX Convertible Noise in rear when sharp turns, hard bumps...

Well, the title says it all...

When we make a sharp right turn (fast) a sound like the old aooga horns comes from the rear... It's sometimes loud - sometimes soft - but 9 times out of 10 it's when we make a hard right... hear sound clip attached...

Garry's friend, our mechanic, thinks it may be the ULCs/LCAs? Although he's not positive... Someone else told me it is possibly the Spring Isolators....

Any thoughts on this? I just hate to throw money at a problem in hopes we find the cure... but I have a feeling we're going to be doing just that...

Thank you in advance for you help,
Judi

The LCA's and UCA's would be my first bet. Next would be the rear end. I can't picture it making a Oooga sound. So is it more like a whining sound? Spring isolators usually get hard and squeak from my experience.

Thank you so much for your reply!

Seriously, the sound is just like the clip I posted... aoooooga... took me a while to find it - but when it made the noise for the first time.... I knew immediately what it sounded like... the car horns from the old movies...

I can tell you for sure - it is not a whining sound...

Thank you all so much for your help, I very much appreciate it... Well, we're going to swap out the LCA and UCAs and see if that helps... is there anything else we should be doing at that point to the suspension area while our guy has the car apart?

I have to mention to our guy about "spider gears"... I have to google that... not sure what that means... but he will, I am sure...

It's a weekend driver - not a race car...

You might just need the bushings, rather than the whole arm. BUT... now you can get some slicks on there. What arms you going to get? Aluminum? Steel? Tubular? Boxed? What kind of bushing? Urethane? Spherical? Delrin?

Well, Denne - no slicks for me...

We're going with the UCA & LCAs and after a few promises and a bit of begging - I am going to be ordering and exhaust...

A bit scattered - but there are priorities - you know... Looks BA, needs to sound it, too....
