Question Does anyone here have any first hand knowledge in building a 366 stroker

Does anyone here have any first hand knowledge in building one?? i think i might choose this for my 302 stroker project instead of a 347 and i was wondering exactly how to build it. i was told 400 sb crank rods with like a .060 bore is this correct??? Help is greatly appreciated.. thanks i would also like to know about 377's if anyone knows there way with them too. Jeremy

The first thing i'd recommend is going with an aftermarket block & a high quality stroker kit......

377 Ford is a old set up it made good power and showed up in a lot of dirt track stuff. It used a stock 351W crank that was offset ground to increase stroke it would run a Chry. rod and a Chevy piston. for a cheaper engine but now with all the aftermarket strokers out there they have went to the way side. 400 Ford cranks in 351w blocks was real common also that is where the 408 came from. now the 366 engine you are speaking of could come in a few different set ups depends on what deck block you are gone to use. a common one now days is a 3.4 stroke and 4.150 bore. But it must use a good block.

The 363 would require a aftermarket block, its 4.125 bore x 3.400 stroke.
