Talking 331 stroker build

Well i have all the parts together for the 331 stroker build. I am waiting for the pistons to get fitted for the block which should be done today and i will pick it up tommorow and get started on the build. Here is what i have so far:

scat 331 crank
scat i-beam connecting rods
probe aluminum pistons made fot trickflow heads
cometic head gaskets
ford racing valve cover gaskets
arp head bolts
arp connecting rod bolts
fel pro one piece oil pan gasket
fel pro intake set/timing cover set/ front and rear main seal

The crank was balanced to 50oz for use of stock flywheel and balancer

I will try to post some pics tommorow of the build process so people can get some sort of idea whats involved in the build process and how to blueprint a motor.

The trick flow heads have been checked and have no issues and the oil seals have been replaced along with resurfacing the heads

The block has been hot tanked, new cam bearings installed, oil galley plugs, freeze plugs, and boared 30 over.

Just curious other than using stock flywheel and balancer ......

what did you based your decision on to go with 50oz rather than 28oz

wouldn't the price of the machine work on the crank override upgrading the flywheel and balancer.....

It was $150 to balance it to 28oz and $250 to balance it out to 50oz. The new flywheel and balancer was going to cost more than that so i just decided to balance it out to 50oz. The place i bought the stroker kit balanced it there.
