Question 1988 Mustang GT Tranny?

wasup everyone so ive been wanting to get my tranny flushed but i dont no how to do it so ive been calling shops and everyone knows its hard to trust people that are out for a dollar so who better to ask then you guys people just trying to help not getting any money out of it. so hears my story i call one place (manuel tranny by the way only 104000 on it) and he says you dont flush it wat u do is change the filter and new fluid then he said something about a cable that runs from the tranny to the manifold or somthing that you have to be careful with that.. so iam confused can someone with knowledge try and break it down for me so i can understand???? thank you!

He is telling you what they do with a automatic, but they do have flush machines for the auto that exchange 100% of the fluid as compared to 4 or 5 qts when they change the fliter. A std as in your car has a drain plug on the bottom and a fill plug on the side , all you need to do is remove the fill and drain plugs, when it is all empty, reinstall the drain plug and fill up the trans untill it is even with the treads on the fill plug, thats all there is to it, they take atf fluid by the way, I usually use synthetic
