Default mod motor in a fox...

okay, i know someone who totaled an 08 bullitt. im trying to get the car to strip it down to help build up my 68 fastback (trying to make a retro-modern bullitt)

anywho, i got to thinking, would this 3-valve work in a fox? they have 302 stroker kits, are aluminum, and they seem smaller than the "broad-shouldered" 4-valve terminator due to its smaller heads and lack of the eaton supercharger.

my g/f's dad offered to help me tackle the project since hes a mechanic. (ASE and A1? certified at a ford dealership)

so far i know the fuel system would be complicated, and the wiring would be a little more involved since the electronic throttle body. (im reading the followup on the fox500 in 5.0 and superfords)

how much more involved would this be than the more popular terminator swap? i was gonna post this in the 4.6 forums, but thought the 5.0 area was best since some fox guys have made the mod-motor swap.

you may want to look in a stand alone wiring system so it will be a bit easier to do the fuel wiring. Sounds like a neat project. Good luck

the first thing you will need is a k-member......

Check TeamZ.......

Mustang Mini-tub kits, street and race front and rear supension components - Team Z Motorsports

If you can get a handle on the wiring it will be a piece of cake swap but it wont be cheap......

if i do this project, then all the MM and Griggs equipment i have from previous builds would be installed...including the tubular k-member and coilover front conversion.

the wiring was the main issue i had. ive owned 2 s197's and ordered a 2010...but i dont have the in-depth knowledge of them that i have acquired with the foxes.

you may want to consider a F.A.S.T stand alone......
