0.002-0.0025
0.003 max.

Crank Run Out
0.004 max.

Crank End Play
0.004-0.008 (best)
0.012 max.

Rods
0.002-0.0025 (stock)
0.0025-0.003 (performance)

Rod Side Clearance
0.014-0.024

Piston Clearance
0.0025-0.003 (stock cast)
0.004-0.0045 (performance)
0.005-0.008 (race)

Piston Ring Gap
0.017 (street - rings #1 & #2)
0.015 (performance - ring #1)
0.012 (performance - ring #2)

Piston Ring to Groove Clearance
0.002-0.004 (street)
0.001-0.002 (performance)

Cylinder Wall Finish
Moly Rings - 400 grit stones or 400-600 grit wet/dry paper around stones (short break-in - excellent performance rings)
Chrome Rings - 280 grit stones (extremely hard rings - resistant to dirt - long break-in)

Quench Clearance
(deck height + gasket thickness)
0.038 min.
0.040-0.045 best
0.060 max.

Camshaft End Play
0.001-0.007

I really think you need to look at the inner bearings. Only trying to help.

.0020 and no less.

Also My numbers in my earlier post should be in thousandths not tenths.

Thanks for the info. I have double checked everything and seem to be within your speds on everything but the rings. I gaped them to .25. The ring manufacturer suggested i do this because i was going supercharged and this did state the same on the ring instructions.

You are correct for boosted applications. The Ring Gap I listed, was N/A.

well looks like im good there. I put in the motor last night.this morning. Everything is bolted up except for the supercharger. Im waiting on a tool to install the balancer and i will be firing her off tonight. I will let everyone know who is interested how it goes.

Im glad to say that the motor went into the car today and didnt have any problems except for a minor coolant leak. She has about 10 minutes of run time long enough to get up to operating temp and open the thermostat. So far so good she will get her first drive tommorow. Cant waiti to see what she is capable of doing now. Thanks for all the info that people gave me on this post.
