[87 coupe]

Well to keep it simple I have an 87 coupe LX 5 spd with an 85 carb 302. It has a full msd 6AL ignition, edelbrock carb and intake, might have forged pistons, trunk mounted battery, all of this was on it when I got it ( it was a highwaypatrol car). It is going to be my daily driver/weekend race car. What are some more mods that I can do for a total of $1500 that will help me on the street and the strip? Any advice will begreatly appreciated.

How's the exhaust situation? Stock? How about the rear end? For me, full exhaust, gears and control arms. That's about $1500-ish

what did the first motor pop, how did you know it was a highway patrol car, just curious,
take it to the track then you can get a baseline on what its running, sounds like you don't know what its got, that thing might be clipping off 13's already, then you can figure where to go from there.........
