Default yet another exhaust question haha sorry

ok so i found some cheap used flowmaster 40 deltaflows on ebay an i just got them on. they sound a better then the magnaflows that were on there before but i am still looking for a little more sound. would shorty headers be too much or is that what im looking for? i guess what im asking is how much will shorty headers affect the sound?

Shorty headers won't necessarily make it louder, but it'd probably sound healthier.
What mid pipe you running?

shorties with a full after market mid pipe and your in business, or you can go long tubes with a short o/r x, lot of options here.......but to make it louder your going to need a mid-pipe

Your sig says modified mid pipe...what does that mean? You need to get rid of the cats to get the sound.

modded midpipe only means that i took out 2 of the 4 stock cats. the sound that i am getting now is good from idle to about 2000 rpms. the sound kinda goes away in higher rpms. would a h pipe or an x pipe be better? or would either one help?

An off-road h or x-pipe would give you the runmble you are looking for. And try to compliment it with some headers if your budget will allow it.

If you want loudest of the loud, look at my setup. It sounds great.

get an o/r midpipe only if you're not worried about emissions. otherwise, go with hi-flow cats. will give you a better sound and still pass emissions. h pipe is more of a lower rumble, classic muscle car sound. x pipe is higher raspy sound IMO. more like nascar. make sure you know the emissions regulations in your state.
