A lot of Chevy-into-Ford questions lately. I had a neighbor who had a Chevy 377 stroker on nitrous that ran 9's in a notchback and he had to do the following:

Engine plate to adapt the Chevy engine to the engine bay
Modify the bottom of the trans tunnel to accept the Powerglide he was using
Modify the shifter hole due to the different transmission plus removing the console
Not sure about the headers he had

so it is basically just the motor mounting and transmission that needs to be changed? all other clearances should be fine?

LOL i don't know but thats a funny question. If you do go through with that make sure never to open the hood! Except for when your working on the motor. Which will of course be very often.

That was all he did. Of course he had a carb, I forgot to mention that. Otherwise, it went right in.

I kinda agree with SpdJnky... If you want a chevy engine then why not buy a Camaro???
Putting a Chevy engine in a Ford body is like putting a womans brain in a mans body... It might work but people will wonder what is wrong with you.

Just giving you a hard time... kinda...

It shouldn't be hard to put that 350 in your stang. There are TONS of people that have done it and in fact I believe there are some kits out there to help do the swap. But you'd have to look for it, cuz I'm not gonna help you find it.

Like I said, if that's what you want to do then all the power to ya.

But I think it'd be a lot more work than it's worth. JMO

as far as nuts and bolts go, eagle summed it up.

if its an ls1/lt1, then you will need to strip all the wiring and install a F.A.S.T and/or a camaro ecu. ive heard of ls1's in foxes for race purposes, but they are like scion XB's...love it or hate it..or love to hate it.

im against this, and im the guy who tried to put a gm automatic tranny in a fox for the 1 extra gear.(not worth the trouble, nor the loss of respect)
