Stock were 2:73, the 5 speed cars had a 3:08 option and the automatics had a 3:27 option.
The 3:73 won't hurt you to drive it everyday. I've driven mine everyday with 3:73 since 1992 and even drove it cross country and back with 3:73. Have at it.

how can you tell what gearing you have just by driving it? i find myself shifting early out of first (revs high) and its pretty torquey in first too...
Jack up rear of car (using jack stands of course). Put trans in nuetral. Mark the inside of tire, turn drive shaft one full turn and count how many turns you got out of your tire. 3 1/2= 3.55 2 3/4 = 2.73 so on and so on.
3.73's is the Max I'd use for a daily driver on these cars, that's what I used in my 89, good solid Street Strip gear, 4.10's can become a PITA as a daily driver in a Fox Body!
