Basically my tail lights won't come on but the brake lights work fine. What is up with that. 89GT

It could be a dozen things
First, check the wires going to the light switch.
After that, its a process of elimination.
Fuses, wires, grounds, bulbs, sockets, other lights and so on.

Like he said, it could be several things. The bulb elements might be burned out.

My tail lights and insrtument cluster lights just went off. The headlights work fine and the brake lights work fine too. Help me Horses!

Yeah I had that same problem about 10yrs ago in my 1991 Stang. It was the turn signal switch. I guess the switch is the relay for circuit #15. It was pretty easy to install, I think only 30mins. Autozone sells it for $126.99, Good Luck!

My signals work fine its just the tail lights and the instrument cluster lights.

My tail lights and my instrument lights went out at the same time. I checked the fuses and they are good. Someone told me it could be my turn signal switch but my blankers work fine. Help me horses.

Actually, the problem is behind the headlight switch. One of the wires has either burned out (common problem) or the connector has come loose. I can't remember which wire it is, but mine did the same exact thing and it was after the switch and wiring burned up which is how I found where that problem actually is. The dash lights and taillights would go out but the brake lights, headlights, and turn signals work. Get it fixed ASAP because your tag light is also going out and you could get a ticket for that.
