i searched around for a bit an couldnt find this question. does every o/r h pipe sound the same/does every o/r x pipe sound the same or do you get different sounds with different brands?
also, does one brand of catted midpipes sound different form other catted midpipes? thanks
H pipes usually have a deeper tone and help a little with low end torque
X pipes usually are more raspy
Most will probably sound the same since they would be the same basic design.
If the H or X pipes have Cats they just wont sound as loud.

I wouldn't imagine they would be very different, they all have to fit in the same space and most are 2.5 inches, so they probably all flow about the same

The sound is a function of the whole system...what header and mufflers you have will dicatate the sound more than the mid pipe...check youtube, there are some good vids of different systems on Stangs
