Amazing, Ignition Coils Do Go Bad

Last night I checked for spark from my Accel Coil and there was non whatsoever. I'd been having starting probs lately and thought it was a fuel prob. I guess the car got flooded when the mixture didn't get ignited. Well, I bought and installed an MSD Blaster Coil, and she started right up. I didn't think a piece of steel and epoxy could go bad. Hope this helps someone out.

1992 LX 5.0, 12 inch K & N cone, SLP Loud Mouth dumps (for 98 and up Cobra), home made cold air box, underdrive pulleys, 75mm chrome Pro M MAF, bypassed airpump with short belt, Jeg's Universal Ford 2 row aluminum radiator, 16 inch electric fan, E cam, SVO 1.6 roller rockers, weld in subframe connectors, 16 degree timing, short throw shifter, Hotchkiss tubular UCAs and LCAs, Maxspeed springs, aluminum drive shaft,shorty headers, and BBK adjustable fuel pressure regulator, 3.73gears

I told ya so :p . Glad to hear you got it fixed . The coil is actually more than a chunk of steel and some epoxy . There is a coil winding inside , thats why they call it a coil . if the winding breaks then thats when they go bad .

Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience...

You should see them when the start to arc.

Black,79 Mustang mostly carbon fiber/kevlar body, M-2300-k brake kit, full roll cage, maximum motorsport suspension, custom geared 6 speed, 2 inch rear fender flares, 1 inch front, motor being built (no eta). Looks like the Mad Max interseptor and weighs about 1800lbs w/o motor (450hp 351w installed to move the car around)
Black, 82 Capri RS 5.0L, B303, 1.7 rockers, World 180 heads, +150hp N.O.S, Turbo coupe rear end, T-56(tremec tko would be beter), 80 cobra nose
