Default What size belt do I need?

Hello,

I am deleting my smog pump and my A/C. Well moving the p/w pump to where the a/c use to be. I already have the correct belt for the smog delete, but will my belt still it after I install my A/C delete kit? I am also installing an aftermarket alternator bracket with adjustable rod ends. I think I will have a bit more adjustablity for belt tension with that. Thanks.

You will probably need a shorter belt.. + 1 on the string method, it is going to be the best way.

X4 on string.....like fox said, after measuring it, get a few belts...one a little bigger and one a bit smaller...and return the ones that didnt fit.

Same set up w/ UPR water pump pulley and Crank pulley w/ undersized alt. pulley 63.5" belt.
Figured i was the only one w/ that cobbled together setup but it looks so much better.

I have a cloth measuring tape from the sewing department at walmart, I use that to measure for my belts. make sure you get the long one, the 5 footer won't always do.

I went to Autozone and picked up Durlast part# 635K6. It's a 63.5 inch, 6 rib belt. I am doing the conversion this weekend and I will keep you posted on the results. Thanks for the info.

That belt did not work for my setup. I have to go back and get a 65 inch belt.

That's how long my belt is, 65 inches. For those who don't know, I have the March alternator bracket, no smog pump, Ford Racing AC delete kit that moves the power steering up.
