easiest way to beat him is hook him up w/ the fattest girl you can find and have her ride w/ him.

stock for stock you're a second down at least.

Good tune up, drag radials, clutch and dry kit and try to get some gears.

Those firechickens are pretty fast. When they came out I saw plenty of them laying down 280 rwhp repeatedly bone stock. If you get a ZEX nitrous kit they are pretty user friendly and won't break the bank. Those ls1 will do low 13's with nice mph.

ya when i took the carpet out, all the foamy stuff under it is gone too, the way i see it is every pound helps, but im gona go with some gears, and a 150 shot, after rebuilding. that should hopefully be enough, also im a better driver then the other guy, this is his first stick shift car, im not a pro but ive been driving for a while so that will help also.

ok so one of my other freinds showed me this turbo kit, its from ss auto chrome, its the kit all the way at the bottom, has anyone used this kit, does it look to be of good quality? i have never done anything with turbos and dont know much about them but for the money im thinking it would put a hurtin on that firebird.

Every pound does count...
What is the rule of thumb? Every hundred pounds you shed shaves one tenth of a second??? I don't remember, been so long since I heard it.

That's a lot of weight, get a smart car and a Hyabusa Engine LOL

SS autochrome is garbage and when you do find or even put together a decent turbo kit rmemeber you must address the fuel system also so that is more cash.

I have ran a 96 firebird 350 auto with cold air intake when I had my last mustang (auto) and all I had was full exaughst, and cold air, and it took a set of 4.10s to beat him but it was like I barely pulled away everytime though. On the track of course.

well as i just found out he has a earlyer pontiac with the ws6, not ls1 so i think the gears will get him on a fresh build and things are looking good on the 351 i was gonna do before, so it might work out

so it's just an lt1. mild bolt on's, gears and exhaust should easily take him, but it's all gonna depend on who's a better driver. 4 or 5 years ago i was driving my friend's completely stock 93 GT with just exhaust and ran against my friend who had a 95 lt1 camaro with a k&n ram air kit and exhaust and i beat him everytime. he didn't know how to drive though. i taught him how to drive after that and a month or so later he ran against the same car except this time my friend, the one who owned it, was driving and my friend in the camaro beat him everytime. no changes were made to either car.

any stroker motor or 351 based motor, n2o or forced induction will destroy him.
