Default whats a good clutch kit

hey guys.. what would be a good clutch kit for a 89 gt? need to replace mine and just wanted to know what more of you have or think i shoud get for mine.. thenks for the help!!

Ford Motorsport (I guess their called Ford Racing Now) Valeo has perfect pedal pressure for a mildly modded GT!

1990 GT 5.0 T5 3.73 4 wheel disc brakes, ported gt40 heads w/ tfs spring kit, tfs street intake E-CAM +4 advance, bbk headers,cold air and h pipe. spec-1 clutch w/ promotion adj cable and firewall adjuster.i took a 5.0 from a 96 explorer w/ 97k, i swaped the intake and cam ported the heads......WOW this thing now rocks for only a few hundred dollars to do the entire swap, well worth. i am currently chasing a idle surge issue

+1 more for the SPEC clutch.

I have a SPEC stage 2 and love it. had the king cobra and was not a big fan of it.

Maybe even a t3/t4 turbo...? hmm

Lots of Spec fans here. I also like the Centerforce Dual Friction. There's also McLeod, Hays, Zoom, Fidanza.

this is what I have and it is awesome and grabs and will not slip at the strip with slicks on and is good for the street as well
F1 RACING STAGE 2 CLUTCH KIT&FLYWHEEL MUSTANG COBRA 5.0:eBay Motors (item 350244901499 end time Oct-25-09 10:42:41 PDT)

They also sell kits with FIDANZA 12 lbs flywheels but mine is a 18 lbs

nice.. now do you think i should get a all new adjustable cable kit and fly wheel and stuff or just get the clutch kit?? i was looking at this.. SPEC Stage 1 Clutch (86-Mid 01 GT and 93-98 Cobra) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

to complete the install this is what i recommend......

Steeda Clutch Adjuster Kits - '83-'04 Ford Mustang


most likely all you need to do is have the flywheel resurfaced......

i would just resurface ure flywheel then order the spec 1 kit and the mm cable kit.
OR
place a call to promotion and they can get you everything and plus some good advise on the proper set up need for you driving style
