You bought the wrong mustang to effeciently make that kind of horsepower. The 5.0 block is good for maybe 500 at the crank before you have 2 4 cylinders instead of a V8. The Mod motors make high horsepower easily with bost. If money is no problem trade me that Cobra for my GT and and then sell the GT and get a Modular powered mustang 4.6 or 5.4 and boost the #$%# out of it!

here is my friends set up 383 Ford Dart block eagle rotating set up H-beams upgraded rod bolts Gt4788 88MM turbo with a HP kit. AFR 225 out of the box heads Victor intake set up for EFI, full body full weight street car with a C-4 that brakes 4 times a year got to love the lifetime warranty from PA. 315 dr runs 9.00s spinning and lifting and hitting it at local track and 8.70 at over 150 at MIR in Maryland it makes 1000hp been on the dyno eagle kit has been doing it for 3years no issues at all. do the math on the engine build its not that much. not cheap but really not that much.. Really if you do your own work you can keep the price down a lot. it is pretty much a bolt on type car. him and his dad built the car in there garage
If you want to see some 1000 HP turbo cars head on over to the Turboforums there are a few over there including my friends. But if you get the attitude like you have here over there they I will assure you will not be as kind as they are here trust me on that..
Oh, about the BMW I will give you 4 cars but bring a pocket full of cash I am gone to take it. NO BS HERE...

dude from eagle autosports thanks man and like i said i just got ahold of it but i just dont understand where the others are seeing over 50g for a 1000hp motor if a 04 cobra can with just a bigger pulley,belt,2 fuel pumps,and bigger injectors,"thats what my brothers room mate has" and i've seen the dyno run at 1007hp INSANE! So i hate to say this but i guess id been better off just saven up n buying one of those right or just build a turbo supra since you see tons of those straight6 turbos at 1000hp.
Am I the only one who caught this? What setup does he just put a "bigger pulley" and add some fuel to make over 1000 hp? While we're there, when getting more boost out of a twin screw, its a SMALLER pulley that would spin more boost. Centrifugal I assume, as a twin screw or roots style like Whipple or Kenne Bell won't break it on boost alone.

Push rod 5.0 we all know will break at around 500-600 hp. Mod motors are stronger but the rods and other internals will not hold up to 1000 Hp long. So that's out. So build ya what you want but it will cost you about 30 grand. I know cause I done it! And I got by pretty cheap. Get someone to do it all for you and see what it cost. And I am not just talking about the engine. I have around 13 grand in my engine and the rest was put into the suspension, tranny, clutch, driveshaft, 9" rear, fuel system ALONE was around 1 grand!! And LOTS and LOTS of man hours putting it all together and I still have tons of work to do and probably around 5 more grand to pour into it to get it where I want it. You can't just get a 1000 HP engine and drop it in your car and be done. Everyone here has been nothing but truthful to you and answered your questions exactly as they were asked and you tripped out. Chill out dude all is good!! We forgive you, you will find out we are easy to get alone with
You know just to put my 2 cents in........WHY build a car because someone else has something you want to beat? You should build a mustang for a few reasons, one because you wanted the car and now you want it to go a lot faster and beat something with a bow tie on it, 2 CHICKS DIG MUSTANGS!, 3, just so you can say you built it.
Sounds like to me you want to build it for all the wrong reasons and from what i have read you dont have any idea what it takes to build a high horsepower car. Good luck im sure you will need all you can get but what do i know i only have............
