hello everyone.... where is the starter.. on the 87 ford mustang 5.0

well bud....its on the passenger side just below the exhaust header.there only 2 bolts that hold it in place...

Passenger side, under the header. Lay on the ground, reach up between the header and engine block, you'll feel it.

its a big heavy cylinder thing on the passenger side, below the header and on the back of the block where the flywheel is. it actuallly bolts into the bellhousing if im not mistaken

Replace it w/ a starter from a 94 it will need a little rewire but much better.
