Default voltage issue-- please help

i'm having a bigtime issue with voltage. i'm not the most experieced person, so i've never seen this. when i give it the gas the volt meter go to the positive side. it walks right along side the rpm. the more rpm, the higher the volts. daily driving it was fine, but after a few passes at the track it acts dead. i still have interior lights and door ding, but the battery just clicks when i try to start. i tried charging the battery, but it didn't help. i got a new one and the issue is still there. please help. alternator????

yes..brnd new as a matter of fact. i just don't get it. it kills every battery i put in it. not to the point of dead, i still have lights, radio and all that. it just won't start the car after it sees some rpm and that volt meter pops high on the positive side.

i get it started by re-charging the btry. replaced the alternator today. (it was bad) now the car won't start at all. i try to turn it over and nothing. i hear a slight arch in the area behind the btry, but i can't find any burnt or touching wires. i'm about to lose my mind!!! i have a new coil, starter, battery and alternator. what whould cause the car to go black when i turn the key?
