Cool 1989 LX Mustang Motor Whistle

Hi,Glad too find this site.I have a 347 stroker that makes a whistleing noise at idle. The noise is around my trick flow plenum it has an upper and lower trick flow with a 70mm bbk throttle body and spacer.I have been told it may be that the plenum gasket had been sucked into the motor my upper 2 plenum bolts were lose at one time.

My friend had that noise when he replaced is intake. It ended up being the wrong intake gasket. It's been awhile since it happened, but I think he replaced it with a 351 emissions gasket. His whistle came out of the intake bolt holes. You also omit the front and rear end gaskets and use silicone

Could be the throttle body, could be a gasket, could be a vacuum hose.

If its not the t/b then its a mystery, I have the same exact problem. I have a trickflow topend with bbk t/b and ive changed gaskets and had four different people check my vac lines. What puzzles me is that the noise goes away at idle between 1-2k but below 1k it starts. It might be making it at higher idle but I cant tell with my exhaust.
