Window Motor Replacement in my 1989 Mustang LX?

I was cruising around last night in my 89 lx and next thing you know my driver side window wont go up anymore. I kinda just shrug it off and wait untill morning to see if maybe it just got wet or something. Well I took the door panel apart and tested all the connections and it was the motor itself. So I bought an ACdelco one from o'reilly and install it and it doesnt have the power to roll the window up all the way, it starts to rub against the quater window and stops. Any idea's how to fix this?

Could be a defective replacement, but my guess from what your saying would be the window is off track and the motors having trouble getting it up. Either way your going to have to tear into the door panel and take a look at it in action. Mine actually has the same problem, but the window motor doesn't seem to struggle with it. I think it may just be the window tint catchin the rubber a bit. Let me know how it works out for ya.

alright thanks. its also a vert so there is alot more alignment issues.
