Yes, thats where the ECT sensor for the ECM is. Sticking straight up.
If its not throwing a Failure code, then dont replace it.
yes, that is the logical thing to do, but I dont think I can get my money back for this new one it's been to long to return it.. Is it still a bad idea to replace it under these circumstances?

Adam makes sure the sensor that was circled in the picture posted has a good connection. Make sure its clean and tight. If the gauge still reads low. Verify it with a infared temp gun first. If its normal temp 180-190°. Then replace the sensor thats circled.

Not to somewhat hijack the thread, but what is it that controls the elec. fan is it the ECT or something else, i dont thing mine is coming on. and i know for sure the fan is good. also when should the fan run on the high speed? thanks
