Ran a 14.10 at 98.96mph, car hooked better than i thought on street tires, was really hoping for a high 13. whats the cheapest mod that can get me to break into the 13s? car only has whats listed below.
if you still have the fuel injection the oyu could upgrade the fuel injectors to 24 lbs and you can get ford racing ones for just under 300 bucks at 50resto.com
Upgrading to 24 lb injectors does not add horsepower. If i where you, I would work on some suspension mods and get some drag radials. Team Z upper and lower control arms for instance are very nice

I bet a little more practice will get you in the high 13s so all you need is driver mod I have never been to the track but that seems to be what everyone says.

well that was the first time i had this car to the track, but i have raced before and told by others that i am not bad behind the wheel. the car hooked great, chirped 2nd pretty hard, but not terrible, even chirped 3rd. It is fuel injected, the engine is stock besides headers and cam, i actually was beating cars that were running over 100mph due to a terrible driver
14.10 seems pretty fast for those mild mods. I see a cam in your mod list but no heads or intake manifold. Ill be some aftermarket heads, intake manifold, rockers, injectors, bigger throttle body and mass air will get you there.

I didn't mean to say you were a bad driver maybe just some drag radials you are pretty close to your goal just leaving at a higher rpm should get you there I think

blackbeauty, i wasn't saying you were saying i was a bad driver, i was just saying i have a bit of track time thats all and yeah i tried to launch hard my first run and ran a 15.3 smoking up 1st 2nd and 3rd. and i wasn't powershifting, it is still my daily driver, so i wasn't banging gears too hard. as far as weight reductions, I like to run it as I do on the street, still had the spare tire and baby seat in now that i finally got a backseat I know with a small mod i can get 13s, just wasn't sure which was my best bang for my buck. I found a gt40 explorer intake, i might jump on it. might just grab that, 70mm tb and a 76mm mass air meter and give it another go, my clutch also popped out of adjustment, so my first race it was catching low, then it was catching high (hate that plastic quadrant)
i was shifting at about 5400, which is about when the car stops pulling usually. The car feels like a rocket off the line, i will check my slips in the morning, i was pulling 1.9 60's almost all night. The car is lacking top end(I know heads and intake) I dont have time or money for heads though, and i just want that 13.9 already
An intake will take you there. You got great MPH so maybe start looking for an explorer intake and it won't break the bank and some more seat time you will definitely in the 13's.
