but the new "D" is nice for a vert.......

When I looked over all the cars and read the ads I would have purchased "A" over the others especially if you plan on doing some work to it anyways. They claim the engine only has 60K on it but I would look for oil leaks and smoke out the tailpipe ETC. Be sure to look for water in the oil too. Look it over WELL and low ball him at first and see what the lowest he would be willing to take for it. But The NEW "D" looks awesome! But it is a vert and I don't care much for them so personally I would have shot that down for myself but if you like the verts ID go with it! Just be sure not to jump into it too fast and look over the car very well for rusted frame, engine noises, smoke, oil leaks, Water in oil. Good luck.

I went and looked at A today it has a few stupid little problems but over all the body and engine clutch and trans seem to be pretty soild. 2800 is the least I was able to get him down on his price C and the new D has yet to respond to me so I think I'm going to go get A tomorrow. The only other one I may get is this one 1993 Mustang GT A still looks better to me though I think its the one.

yeah but if you were going to get that 93 sell the subs and the amp, you dont really need those :P

I'm bout to go get it its raining though that kinda sucks I guess I gotta drive home slow especially with those bald tires oh well wish me luck thanks for all the replies. It really sounded good last night when I drove it I could hear the cam really well. It would spin tires in first and second way to easy I gotta find some good cheap tires for it.

I just got back that was a scary ride oh and did I mention the head lights are so dim and yellow i could barely see but its home now in the garage on my girlfriends side

I can't wait to take it out in the sun and day light after tires of course. Thank you all again you made my choice a little easier. And yeah I will post pics once I get her cleaned up. BTW thanks its good to be back on the fast side.

PS how much does my car weigh? and I figure I have about 260-275 rwhp is that about right. gt40p explorer intake e303 full exhaust no cats

i weighed my old LX and it was 3400 with me in it(give or take) I would throw a set of springs on it too, but congrats i think you got a pretty sweet deal

So I guess you went with the green one. Does it have a stock throttle body? Also I would give it a good once over and general tune up where it's needed. Not to be a bubble buster but I would put your pony count around 250 which is still respectable.

Glad you go that one. I think you will be happy and sure you are. There is nothing better than a good ole fox body mustang. Anyone I have ever known to have one will always have one. I purchased a 79 corvette last month because I always wanted one and thought they were so cool. I sold it today

Mustang is 10 times the car. The vette was a cool looking car and sounded like a monster but overall was not half the car a good ole mustang is. Quality was half of what a mustang is and I swear a old 5.0 would tear that 350 a new butt hole LOL. I have attached a pic of the vette I sold today because it was a pretty cool looking car even though mustangs are TONS better

Yeah Mustangs do rule but remember that corvette had like 200hp with super low compression ratio and a total slush box for a tranny so kinda unfair to Mr. Bowtie.

yeah i'm sure that 79 vette would rip a 79 mustang apart in its hay day. At one time I had an 88 IROC-Z with a 350 TPI and 91 LX5.0 w/ 306 Both cars were high 12 second cars, but the IROC was a little flashier and rode so much smoother.

Love the Calypso's... a guy around here has one, oh so HOT! But I notice you are looking on craigslist... I am sure you know what you're doing.... when we were looking, almost every carfax we ran proved the owner or previous owners liars... and that's only using car fax... it was frightening. I'd probably never but a Mustang off CL, seems to be where those go who can't unload them through normal want ads, etc. The car that left the biggest impression was the one that red flags came back all over the title...

oh wait, and the one that we were told had under 100,000 but it had almost 300k

Yeah I got the Calypso Green one I am going to change the color in a month or two though I just put tires on it when I found out I need to change the inner tie rod ends and the rotors are horrible so I ordered parts and I'm waiting for them to come in so I can install then I will clean her up and post some pics for all to see. Thank you all for your support and advice I love my new fox.
