Saw something very wrong today (1991 Mustang Notch in junkyard)
I was at the U-Pull it today and saw something that kinda shocked me.
It was a blue 91 5 liter notch, body was so straight and clean... even the paint was great, definitely not a junker. This thing made mine look like U-Pull it material.
The engine was sprayed orange so I'm assuming it was used for a cash for clunkers deal, big mistake (imo) by who ever did it.

It was at harry's wasn't it? I saw someone post about it on another forum. Beautiful car. I guess someone took the t5 out of it already. Figures, everytime I go there, every mustang is so stripped there's nothing to pull off of em.

yea man, cfc you cant buy. there was a 1990 gt hatch black ex and gray int. beautiful car, looked like it was garage kept. the motor was trash and it pd me off severly. but the good news is that i took the interior and all the brand new parts that were on the motor that werent destroyed

I hate when that happens.... Semi off topic but what was that show a few years back where they had 2 crews that faced off at a junk yard to build a race car or something cool like that ? As soon as I started reading into this thread I started thinking about it.
I have been to a few you pull its before and I remember walking around like "why"... There would be all kinds of "good" cars there but no love for them. I only managed to get parts for my everyday "pro street saturn" that I had in high school. HHAHAHAHAHA EMBARASSING.

i have one of those too,i drive it everyday..it's got 125k miles,a 5spd, manual steering,roll 'em up windows,no a/c,and the clear coat is peeling off everywhere..it DOES have an am/fm radio and power brakes though..
the prev owner bought it with a blown motor and put the big ol' 1.9L DOHC back in its place..its a total sleeper lol
i paid like 600 for it and it gets 36mpg on the highway,so it serves its purpose

From what I hear all "clunkers" can be stripped for usable parts, but what is left has to be "recycled"..ie: crushed, so we can save ourselves from ourselves...

I had a 93... 4 dr 5spd. 1.9L SOHC... I beat the crap out of it and it never let me down. The only problem I had which it never broke down was I was "racing it" if thats what you want to call it and the shifter cable snapped. I had to drive it home in 3rd gear and with my loud fart can I would redline it and burn the clutch trying to start out and not stall to get home. I dunno how many miles it had when I sold it, The odometer never worked. I had the clear coat peeling off the front bumper on mine. I had the fart can on the back, Thats when I was 16 and the first fast n furious movie came out. "Dont act like YALL werent there when that movie happend" .... Thats when I got my first carbed 89 lx 5.0... I have had like 15 cars since then its rediculous.
And my mpg in that car SUCKED. but I litteraly drove it like I stole it, EVERYWHERE. Looking back now, I was retarted. Not "put turbo stickers and other bs on my car retarted"... I just drove retarted. Ive done some stupid shhh in the few years I have been around.

I actually ran it at BRADENTON MOTOR SPEEDWAY back in the day. Thats right, a 93 4dr 1.9L saturn with intake and exaughst ran a best time of 16.9, but a 17.1 consistantly. A confession I have wanted to fess to for a long time.

mine is a 92 4 door original sohc with the dohc transplant lol
the odometer just stopped working as well last week..
i dont have a fart can,but the catalytic converter went bad,and there was no way in hell i was spending as much on a new cat as i did on the car,so i hollowed the pig out and threw the pipe back on..it sounds sweeeeeet!
also i think i can interchange the tires with the ones on my lawn tractor they're abouit the same size haha

Well now you know some information alot of people dont. The SOHC runs low 17's in the qrtr.
