Although I'm not too familiar with your generation mustang, those prices for one of the newer models would be reasonable. Assuming of course he included a tuner with the tune file on it (not sure if he has a tuner for that year). I've seen Dyno runs cost around $400 where I live, Atl, GA.
It's not outrageous, usually for our model it's around $500-$600 (the reason why I haven't gotten one myself yet). But remember where I'm at: the east coast. From what I've heard, you guys on the west coast pay more for the same thing here.

So....I have the same thread on ModdedMustangs *I know I know, going to the dark side...literally with their site *
and I've had a lot more hits, one guy claims if I get 24#er and a 1993 cobra MAF and with "HIS" chip it'll get my tuned without the cost of the dyno. Guaranteed! Now I know know if this will work or not. I want your guys opinion on it.

Ha thats what I thought, I do realize 30#ers are too much for just a HCI motor..now if I get 24's, would I just get a 24# sampling tube {like $20.00?} and mount it, I don't have to change the sensor on the MAF, do I?
cause I need to get this thing tuned, I know the A/F is way off.

My tuner charges $300 + dyno time/$65 hr for that (and is one of the best), so you could almost drive to Tampa for the difference...yeah, it's high

i wouldnt get a tune from that guy that says he'll do it for 179$. but he is right about the c&l meter probably being your problem.
you could get some 24# injectors, a cobra MAF meter, and a cobra ECM and it will already be programmed for the injectors. it would be cheaper than getting that dyno tune and be right on.
i have 24# injectors, stock MAF, and A9P computer with no tune whatsoever and my A/F ratio is on the money (according to my spark plugs and gas mileage.)

What kind of gas milage are you getting?
I'M GETTING 11-12MPG!!! HORRIBLE!
