air intake system for carburated motors

I want a better air intake system for my carburated 302... I have a small circular eddlebrock but I would like something that could possibly be functional with my hood scoop.

I'd suggest this one. It's the K&N Xtreme air lid and it comes in multiple diameters so you can actually retain your current air filter. You just change the lid, and it'll increase the amount of air entering the carburetor.

It'll go well with a hood scoop as the air is coming from the top.

you can also look into the nascar style air cleaner base, it would go back to the fire wall and seal against the bottom of the hood so it wouldn't pull any air from the engine bay.
