You can just use engine paint, its like $4 a can. No biggie. But as an FYI... Reg does powder coating.

Which GT40 intake do you have??
I painted my tubular intake myself. I used high temp. engine enamel. Painted my intake red and then painted the "fins" black. Then I covered it in clear engine enamel. Still looks as good as the day I painted it!

The cast/silver would go well with any color, or you can color coordinate like the Feen did. I've seen that intake in person and it looks better than the pictures.

Reggie's forum name is RLG34750. Send him a PM and he'll get back to you as soon as he see's it.
For some reason I can't picture the intake silver with red "fins"... LoL, it's Friday, my brain is already on the weekend.
I'm sure it would look good though.

LOL....Yeah i was thinking red fins because the car is red...maybe ill go black fins...i will see when i get there...Where i work we have an ultra sonic cleaning tank im going to clean the upper and lower then paint it, we also have a huge Oven here that we dry stuff and dry painted stuff too,its vented so i can put painted stuff in there....So i was thinking painting it dryng it in there and then clearing it and drying it agian...that would put a nice finish on it no?

Are you going to powder coat it or paint it????
If you're going to paint it, then I don't know if it'd be a good idea to "bake" it.

I have baked a few items after I painted them in a low heat oven. Actually it was the oven in my house and I set it on the lowest setting for like 20 minutes I think and then another cycle of 20 minutes.

Ha! I never thought about that. I had to let mine dry for a week before I put the clear coat on. I tried getting impatient and sprayed a tiny bit of clear on it the day after i painted it. It ended up wrinkling and cracking in two spots. So I had to sand that area down and repaint & clear those spots.
My impatience has got the best of me a few times, but I learned my lessons.

For baking, you want 200-250 for around 20 minutes.
LoL I'm about to start calling you Martha Stewart!
