Default Whats your MPG?

Well I always reset the trip meter every time I fill up. This last time I logged 278 miles on that tank of gas. Today when I filled up I put 12 gallons in and I was on empty when I filled up. I have a 92 notch back 5.0 with a few mods including CAI, MAC short tube headers, Mac prochamber, Magna flow mufflers, and 3.73 gears. Now by my calculations that comes out to be around 23 mpg. Not bad if you ask me. Oh yeah and I really don't drive that fast. I'm never in that big of a hurry and I drive about 25-30 miles one way to work on the interstate running around 60mph. Anyway just curious what others are getting too.

I will echo exactly what you said!

Last time I checked I was getting 16mpg. Not where I'd like it to be, but I didn't buy my Mustang for MPG's. I bought it for fun and wide open throttle about 3/4 of the time I drive!

Those Prius owners might have their "own square of clean air", so I'll gladly dirty it up for them.

i filled up this morning. Right before my tranny blew haha. i keep posting that everywhere cause im pissed about it! haha anyways. and i drove 195 miles exactly and put in 13.86 gallons. comes out to 14mpg. pretty much on the nose. i drive 5 miles each way to work, its very hilly, and all stop and go. its ridiculous. i dont go over 40 on any given work day. unless i go out of my way to make a short trip to the freeway for an exit or two.
