im wanting to convert to MAF. heres a few of the questions i have before i buy a new computer:
Whats the diffrance between the Cobra and H.O. computers? I heard the cobra cpu is set up for a 70mm MAF sen, 24# injectors but has a 19# fuel pressure reg.? Is there any benefits to the cobra cpu?
also i heard the auto H.O. computers over the 5 speeds somthing about the fuel curve better is this true?
the motor is out of an 88 gt. no real motor mods just a cai
I switched from the Cobra's X3Z computer to an HO's A9L computer and picked up 10 rwhp. Same dyno separated by about a year.
I kept the 24 pound injectors, but did switch out the Cobra MAF to a Granatelli 75mm unit.

The Cobra computer has softer settings in it's fuel and timing tables. The A9L is more aggressive. The A9P is even more aggressive to make up for the sluggish AOD transmission.
If you have a 5 speed, go with the A9L and forget the Cobra. The Cobra wasn't meant for power anyway, it was mainly handling so the computer isn't recommended.
