Default Cobra R wheels 1 crome 3 polished what to do?

I just got my new stang home this week and put new tires on it and now after I started to clean and polish the wheels I noticed that three of them are polished aluminum and one wheel is chrome. My question is does anyone have any ideas on how to make them look a little more similar I though about using 2000 grit sand paper on the chrome one or maybe so sort of paint thinner or I hel! I don't know. Please help on yeah I don't want to buy another wheel. Thanks

That would be the best option and maybe just not wash the chrome wheel all that often? Eagle where are you man

Take it from one who polishes aluminum on a regular basis

You can get aluminum to a chrome "like" shine until you have sitting next to chrome plated part......

FY!

If you try to sand the chrome wheel you make a major mess of the wheel

Don't mar the finish on the chrome, you need to polish polish polish the others.

Get you some Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish, and do this by hand so you can feel the surface while working on it. You can do the Powerball thing after you get this first step done.

You just have to get you a stool, a handful of clean cloths, and start rubbing. Not hard, just firm and you'll feel the surface getting smooth. Rub until the polish turns black, then almost goes away. Then take off the polish, and then buff it. Each wheel will probably take 15 minutes to polish it once, and to get it close to chrome you'll have to do each wheel 3-4 times. This means several hours doing them by hand, and then you can use the Powerball or other attachment to maintain them.

This picture has no Photoshop enhancements at all and it's handpolished aluminum.

That looks very good thanks for the tip Reg is right it will still look a little different than the chrome one but at least it won't draw your eye strait to the chrome wheel like it does now. What do you use to apply the product? I have some mothers mag polish paste and some aluminum polish liquid and an applicator pad should I use a clean rag instead?

Just a clean, dirt free cloth to apply it, then you can take it off with another. If you want to use an applicator pad, that'd work too.

The Mothers paste is the one I use, it's the one that gives the best results that I've seen.

put the wheel on the passenger side, then you won't have to see it as much

I like some stuff called green magic. i buy it at the swap meets for about $8/bottle. i used to use the mothers polish and this blows it away. I use a white scotch brite(ultra fine) on the wheel after washing it then polish them w/ the green polish. afterwards I put some wax on the wheels to help keep the shine.
