So I've been looking for some cheap speed out of my car. got my hands on a timing light and check it, my car is already set to 14 degrees. Can I raise it higher, or should i just keep it where it is? I only use 89 octane and it doesnt ping, i wanted to put it to 16 and see how it does with 93. what do you think?

14 is where mine is set. i tried 16 it started to ping (sounds like rocks in the muffler).

Every car is a little different just advance it in 1-2 degree intervals and drive it to see if you get the "rocks in your muffler" sound when you do just back off the timing till in the same way until it stops that is where your timing wants to be on your car.
