Default 2003 Mustang Mach 1 rearend in a Fox Body..Wheel help

So I put the rearend out of a 2003 MAch 1 in my 89 LX. I got a pair of 15x10" Weld Prostars form a buddy with 6.5" of backspacing. I mounted some 28x10.5 ET Drags on them and they stick out about 3/4" past the fenders. If I run a 7.5" backspacing will that allow me to massage the fender enough for the tire to be able to tuck if I need it to and still not rub on the inner fender, or do I need to run 15x8s? Thanks for the help guys!

that's a Nice rear end, did you keep the Stock Mach brakes, rotors and 5 lug axles?
I would think a 26X8.5X15 would be the best Drag Slick for you especially if you kept the 3.55 gear set in place!

yeah, sn95/new edge rearends are, obviously, 3/4" wider on each side. 7.5" backspacing might clear, not 100% sure though.

Yea, I just took it off the Mach and bolted it up to mine. All I had to do was make some brake fittings/lines. The parking brake would've taken a little work, but I decided to not even mess with it since it will be mainly a track vehicle. I had some M/T ET Street 26x10.5 mounted on some SN95 V6 wheels. They worked okay with the old setup (Vortech V1, 5 spd) but I switched to auto and got rid of the charger. Also, I am gonna switch to 4.10's next season.

I went and measured again and I'm 99% sure 7.5" of backspacing is the golden ticket. I'm gonna order tomorrow. I'll post pics of what it looks like with the 6.5" backspacing and what it looks like with 7.5"

Thanks for the help guys. By the way those Prostars are for sale. 15x10", 5x4.5" lug pattern, 6.5" backspacing. Centercaps included $225 (No tires)
