Can I install underdrive pulleys wihtout remapping computer I stumbled across a set of Mac Power Pulleys for $5 brand new so I obviously picked them up. I was ready to install them when somebody said I would have to get the computer remapped if I put them on. I have a stock 87 LX 5.0 and he said since it's not Mass Air, I'd need to send out the computer to get it remapped after I put the pulleys on. Can anyone verify this? Or has anybody done underdrive pulleys on a non-Mass Air 5.0 without remapping?
Thanks,
Alex

You don't need to "re-mapp" or tune for a set of underdrive pulleys on a Speed Density fox body.

You dont need to "remap" anything. the only thing you "need" to do is tell the person that gave you that info to "take a hike"

Ha Ha!
You gotta love those friends that "know" so much about cars.
Like my friend who told me that the quad shocks were "hill/mountain racing suspension".

Well you got new pulleys......
You may want to consider a new friend who has a clue....
Nothing is required when installing U/D pulleys......

I would say he's thinking too much and combining the newer models with the older Fox. You don't have to remap anything just for a set of pulleys. 20 minutes bolting them on and you're done.

Enjoy the pulleys and power. And what is with the private stuff you should be shooting for at least Admiral or Rear Admiral.

Thank you everybody!! I can now tell my buddy that I knew I was right. It just didn't make enough sense for me to just listen to him.
