Default just bought pulley kit for 1986 Mustang 5.0 need help

What is the right size belt I need to use the stock won't fit please help

Wow blast from the past. I haven't fooled with 5.0 pulleys in years but it seems like I remember when I had just an under drive crank pulley I used a 73.5 belt. I'm thinking the belt for the whole kit was around 69-71 inches. I could very well be wrong. Like I said it's been years so I hope that might narrow it down a little if someone can chime in if that sounds plausible. I do remember I bypassed the smog pump as well but kept my AC and ps.

I got some twine and ran it like the belt would be ran and pulled until it was tight. Measure the twine and get that size and one above and below it. Be sure they will let you return belts.

The tried and true string method works everytime.....

or use a seamstress tape works just as well......

actually better you won't have to measure the string....
