Hi, I was just curious if I could run turn downs instead of having the Catback exhaust on my stang. Lately my exhaust been hitting the fender and driving me insane. Even after replacing a couple different clamps its still doing it! It's either I weld it or I unclamp it. Whats your thoughts? I'm assuming I'll lose a little torque but also gain a little hp.
Anyways, I'm thinking of doing this in the next hour or so...
ok, most people seem to not understand what a catback system is. it's exactly that, an exhaust system from the catalytic converters, back. that includes the cats themselves and the rest of the midpipe, mufflers and tails.
so, with that said, are you saying you're thinking of running open headers? or dumping your exhaust after the mufflers, which would just be removing the tailpipes?

ok so you just want to dump it. every mustang i've ever owned has been dumped. doesn't affect performance at all, but will make the car louder. go for it.
