Default Running wet nitrous on a 5.0

Hey guys, After im done with my current build, i plan on looking into a wet nitrous kit. I don't really like the throttle body plate for a wet kit, Can the plate setups (goes between upper and lower intake) be used for wet? If you have one how well does it work? I've seen them made by nx and trickflow. Let me know! Also, what wet kits are recommended? I know zex is the way for dry kits, but what for wet?

NX, NOS all make great kits. All the plate kits that are sandwiched between the upper and lower intakes are wet kits.

If you just want to add a nice 125HP jet I'd recommend positioning the atomizing nozzle a few inches behind the throttle blade, just drill a small hole at the bottom of the TB elbow hose and slide a threaded ring inside to screw it onto like a few of the Kits utilize (Compucar,Nitrous Works!)

Yes this will be my first experience with nitrous, but i have an experienced drag racer to help me with the whole ordeal. This will be on a freshended up lower, ported gt40 heads, decked 0.03 and gt40 intake. Im looking to do a max of 125, but mainly a 100. Will i need to upgrade ignition? I'm already in the process of upgrading fuel. Can someone send me a link to the best kit?

Since i have a little experience with n2o

I highly recommend going with a dry kit.....

The zex kit shown in the link is almost idiot proof & hits hard for what its.....

for what you have the stock ignition will be ok.....

I would say go with a dry kit, but the upper/lower plate wet system isn't as bad as the throttle body plate. The problem with wet kits is the fuel puddling in the runners of the upper but with an upper to lower plate, that isn't as much of a problem.

For what you want, you could go with the Zex, NOS 5115, or even the TFS kit.

I would definitely upgrade the ignition with nitrous. A colder plug as well.

If you're serious about becoming a nitrous junkie, get this.

You just open the bottle, then turn this on. No more pushing a button, it's rpm controlled and it does it itself. No more retarding your distributor either, you can keep your street timing but when the Mastermind is turned on, it reduces the timing for you being on the bottle.
