Default comp power box help

any of you guys tryed or know (really know ...not opinion ) on the comp power box,i dont see,or havent seen anyone use them....that maybe a clue,but for $299.00 and 20HP,so it says,and its just the upper thats not bad if it works....hook me up guys.

This is what I really know. That is going to make you lose low end torque.

Torque is never loss .......

Its just moved to another location within the power-band......

Hate to harp on a guy, but if torque is moved from lower to higher, are you not losing low end torque and gaining high end torque ?

In theory you are correct......

But that is why when doing any engine mods it is the sum of all parts that make horsepower.....

so if you install an intake where the powerband is 2500-7000

you would need to compensate with different gearing or cam profile that broaden the powerband.....

Its basically shifting the torque curve up and down the engine profile? If im not mistaken...

To actually answer the question, yes it brings 20 hp... but at the top end of the tach. They really work on lower intakes that have been Extrude Honed.

so .....ok 20 hp at the top....do i loose low end ,because theoredicaly speaking (or however you spell it) if im gonna loose down low to gain up top ..i havent gained anything.

thanks reggie......this was a good topic,.but i agree 100%,its just a little street car ,kick a wheel every now and again,and i love the bottom end,and it will last forever
