Hurst Competition Plus shifter instalation

im going to install a used hurst comp shifter,can i do everything with out removing the entire center console,i put one in before but the trans..was already out,didnt wanta have to fight with the console if i didnt have to.

Depends on how much room you have with the bezel off, if you have the room and can reach the two front bolts then I would say yes, Mike. SCT Tuner.

you should be able to get the shifter in and old one out without removing the console, ive taken my transmission many of times and i always take the shifter out, and i have not needed to take the console out...

To install an aftermarket, its going to be alot easier (if not necassary) to remove the console.

It would be easier, but if you could get someone with small hands to get in and get the front two bolts, then you don't have to remove the console. Maybe loosen it and wiggle it around without actually taking it out.
