Default Options when Upgrading the t-5

Hey guys I've been reading through the stickies and various threads and I realize there are various versions of the t-5.

The one that is in there now the syncros in 1st and 2nd are making a lot of noise so I'm thinking about options for upgrade.

I want to put something in there that will handle 400-500 hp.

Can anyone give me some Ideas or send me some links.

Thanks

Two quick ones that come to mind are:
G-Force Transmissions and Long Shifters

Sweet! Thanks guys!

This gives me something to look at. I'm guessing these kits are a little better than the regular rebuild ones you would buy from summit or jegs?

Not little better a lot better......

The people the companies are transmission specialist.....

Unlike the ones at the parts warehouse's which are just order takers for the most part.....

Buying a transmission from of those is akin to buy Mexican food in a Chinese restaurant.....

Ok I just got off the phone with ProMotion. They were very helpful.

I'm thinking about going with this setup.

295/SHD/CRYO/KEYS...T-5 Reconditioned Unit Paired with a Super King Cobra Clutch

That way when I put a stroker in later the tranny will be able to handle the power. Does this sound like a good plan?

Thanks Reggie,

So with these Spec clutches 2,or 2+,3 ? ( I think 3 may be overkill) Are any of these clutches and the tranny going to require any modification or is it going to be take out the old and in with the new?

the spec is a direct replacement.......

for you I'd go with a 2+ should be more than enough clutch for you down the road
