PA Performance 130 amp. Any of the vendors we have should have it. I like it because it has the cables it needs with it and it's a direct bolt on.
I would rather pay for a new one than to go to a "junkyard" like many would say, it's just my preference to get something new rather than one that's been worn and used. You get junk from a junkyard.

Is it a good upgrade if your not running allot of electronics?
I want to upgrade my alt too but I dont have subs, electric fan(yet), aftermarket stereo, or anything like that.

The factory alternator is just enough to get by. Even if you are completely stock, the car can possibly run better with a better power supply and a better alternator will do that. That doesn't mean it'll increase horsepower, but it'll increase your electrical power.

Hello/ I have a 1989 Stang and have a 200/Amp Motorcraft Alt on it. I had to do some "filing" on the inner alt bracket for it to fit in properly. In my case,I'm doing a System in it,and will need it and a 2nd Battery for the system, split by a 200/Amp Solenoid, for key-off listening. I'll be using some Welding Cable for the Factory Power & Ground upgrades. The alt cable will also be upgraded and the case grounded to frame. It'll be run underneath the Stang, close to the floor pan.I plan on adding SFC to it.This way,I can have someone weld bolts, outward,to the sub frame and the sfc, than using clamps and lock nuts, fasten the conduit.Than the Cable will be run through Liquid Tite flexible conduit, from upfront,to the battery in rear. So,you can actually upgrade you cables, yourself, and save a few $$,which is nice/.Good Luck w/your alternator upgrade and cables.Jus' an idea,on my part.Take Care. Regards/ Raymond
