Default building 408 what kits are good

building a 408 stroker this winter and I was wondering if the 170cc trick flow heads of the 302 will fit on a victor jr. intake or super victor intake or would it be best to stay with the trick flow gear..what stroker kits are people using..thinking about ohio crank anyone using it and what kind of power they are making..

170cc heads on a 408 would choke that thing like trying to breathe through a straw while running a marathon. You increase the cubes to big block size, you have to have big block size ports. You need at a minimum 190cc or larger to let it breathe properly, that means TFS High Port (195cc), AFR 205, Dart Pro 1 (195cc up to 225cc), Roush 200, RHS 200, Ford Racing Z304 (204cc), Edelbrock Victor Jr (210cc).

Forget the 170s.

listen in my opnion... you dont need a min of 190cc...
(but would be nice)
thats another 1500 bucks.. you Have the 175s right? they will work juuuust fine... change em out at a later date and save 1500...

not optiamal but they will work great..

it also depends on the use.. hell for street driving they prob work really well.

besides the velocity would be fast on the intake port.. witch helps with ram tunning if cammed correctly imo.
