the GT-40 is the tubular intake, the cobra is a cast version of that, the tubular is considered "better"

they are the same intake. you won't see any gains in one over the other, and if you do it'll be negligible. 5.0 explorer intakes are the same as well. tubular gt40 intakes "look better" to most people. you can't port them as much as a cobra intake though, because you're limited by the tubular runners.

If you are looking to purchase one just make sure they specify either "tubular" or "cast" and that will tell you which one. Both intakes flow practically the same.
They are the same exact design, except one has tubular runners and the other is one cast piece (which is heavier BTW).
The tubular intake is probably the best looking intake out there, but it's not the "best" when it comes to making power.
The tubular can cost anywhere from $400-$600 so be ready to fork out some cash if you want one of them. I paid $550 for mine off ebay.

as in Tubular you mean the Cobra and in cast as in the GT40?
or can you get both from the GT40 or cobra?
They all look different on the outside. But all the runners are the exact same, just made in a different process.
All three use the same lower intake.

Get a used Explorer GT40 intake. They are the cheapest and perform the same as the other GT40 intakes.
Keep your eyes on the classifieds for an Exploder intake...

Come on guys don't count out the exploder intake so fast.
they don't all flow the same but close enough. The thing most people dont know is the exploder intake is it's the most even of the 3 all due to the upper.
