If it's a stock/factory setup that noone has monkeyed with before now.........follow the fuel line from the fuel pump (below the A/C compressor
or the PS pump if the car doesn't have A/C) to the carb. Remove the fuel line from carb with a line wrench and then remove the fitting from the carb that the fuel line threaded into. The filter is inside, along with a couple of gaskets and a spring.
Only the fuel-injected cars had a filter at the rear of the car originally.
