im rebuilding my 93 gt 5.0 motor im keeping it basic with stock pistons and dont know what kind and size cam to use! its a daily driver but want a nice and loud rumble to it and i know that if i get a big enough cam i have to get a stall converter and suggestions?
if your just doing a cam for mainly sound a of course a little power gain, the B 303 will do just fine,a 3000,to 3500 converter will be a big help, also if you dont already have them the very first thing is a gear,373 is the ticket but if you have a long drive daily a 355 will do fine.....oh and welcome to the family

If you still have the stock heads and intake then forget about changing the cam. IF you changed the cam on a stock motor, the power gains wouldn't come close to justify the cost and aggrivation of a cam swap and you could actually LOSE power.
Leave the cam alone and save up for some heads and/or intake.
Some rear end gears are definitely in order for you.

If you're reusing stock heads, then reuse the stock cam. You wouldn't get enough benefits to justify the time, effort, and money on a bigger cam. It wouldn't matter if it's a Pro Stock cam, it'll still be choked to death by stock heads.

hey bud....if you just want the sound.......and thats your goal, cool try the B303,it sounds good and will work with your valve train,but..........not much power gain if any ....just sound, and you will have the cam in there if you want heads later.these things are are a work in progress, and we can still drive em.

As a note I am really sure that by slapping a cam in the car with stock heads or gt40's you need to upgrade the valvesprings. Its a must or issues will arrise. They are cheap too like $100+-. You would be better off getting a better set of heads though, especially while you have it all apart.
