1985 Mustang, front end conversion to 1987-1993

.. just pick up a 85 mustang and wanting to change the front end to the later model 87 88 89.. dosen't matter jut don't like the head lights in the 85.. is there a kit out there or what will i need for a the conversion.. any help will be great..

you need a new hood, bumper, bumper cover, headlights, headlight panel, and you'll have to convert the headlight harness. the trim isn't going to match either so you'll have to switch all the trim all around the car which means a new rear bumper as well. no there isn't a kit, you have to piece it together. if you wanted an aero fox, why didn't you get one in the first place?

:p i knew this was going to turn into a thread. lol. i do agree though, don't do it! go to the stangnet.com forums and look up the thread, "before you butcher a 4eye....56k beware". i think the 4 eyes in there will help you to appreciate what you have.

i understand that the 4 eye look isnt for everyone, but dont go through all that trouble to change it all...just sell it and buy a different year fox

+1 I never really cared for the 4 eye stangs either. If I was given a 4 eyed stang I would do exact what green has advised. Sell it and buy 87-93 model. Not only will you get what you want, but you will also gain 15-25 more horsepower (if both stangs are in stock form)

i myself dont care for the "aero fox"?? (just heard that term....)
i have a 4 eyed fox myself, and i love it, i think it looks way better, and the 4 eyes are becoming extinct, id keep it that way if i were you. learn to appreciate it
