Default Stock catted H-pipe?

I have the stock catted H pipe i was thinking how can i gut the 4 cats on there...And will that bolt up to my new american thunder cat back system it is 2.5 inch tho....will it fit?...I have an Off road H-pipe i just cant stand it...i was thinking gutting this and putting that on will change the tone wont it?...

the stock h pipe will need to be flared to fit an aftermarket 2 1/2" catback.

The hollow cats will change the tone a little bit, but it will still be pretty loud like the o/r pipe. Maybe a little quieter, but still loud.

not a good idea im sure reggie or eagle will chime in as to why air pockets are a bad thing in your exhaust system

What kind of off road H-pipe we talking about....I a BBK H pipe with 2 high flow cats...

what tool would you even use to bang the converter core out??
How do you even reach them? Just pony up the cash for a Mac

I Have an off road H on there now i dont like the way its making the new super 44 flows sound i was told by a very good exhaust shop to put an Off road X it will have a better sound something to do with the pulse one flows different then the other which will make the mufflers sound much better..I guess i need to cough up the cash and buy an off road X and get it installed..plus the damm headers to the H pipe are leaking again i had them fixed but i guess the guy didnt do a good job i took it to a Meinkee shop the other place i sue is in Trenton an hour away from me but it looks like i will have to make the trip because he is the only one i trust tho...This sucks the both sides are leaking so much...

Is there inspection in NJ? If so you need either hi flow cats or a good catted H/X pipe, you will find it's always better to do something right the first time rather than trying to shade tree your way to performance...

Yeah there is Inspections here..i know what you mean..but i have ways around that...

Don't hollow those cats you WILL regret it... If you want to run no cats, just get a shop to fab you a midpipe. Sometime in the future you will need a cat or two, and they are EXPENSIVE.

Also down here in Miami we had inspections many moons ago and we use to have our local muffler shop weld on the cat converter shields onto our off road h-pipes and that would pass the visual inspection and not get people in trouble also. I use to have a back yard full of stock h-pipes and some really long drill bits to hollow out the cats,
