Question Right gear ratio for my 1988 Mustang GT?

Hey I have an 88 GT 5.0 HO with an auto shift in it and I just found out that my gear ratio is only 2:73? So what would you guys recommend for me to replace replace them? The car is all stock and no power adders. Just need a little advice. Thanks.

What's the intended use of the car? Daily driver on the highway? Daily driver in town? Weekend only toy?

I agree, 4.10s if you wanna have some fun, 3.73s if you just want a little more oomph...I'm not much of an auto guys, but I'm sure some sort of converter and shift kit are in order...Lord knows you could use it with a stock auto Stang

I had 3.73's but went to the 4.10's. That is the way to go.
