hate to be the bearer of bad news but with a stock motor you'll see practically no gains with an aftermarket TB

One other thing that he left out, don't waste your money on a throttle body spacer. Reason being you won't gain anything at all, no matter how many mods your motor has. So pocket the money, and spend it on something that will you'll just have to save a little more money. For a decent cam, and heads then you'll start seeing power gains, Mike. SCT Tuner.

I just bought a 70mm BBK throttle body and spacer kit from American Muscle and plan to put on this weekend. I am expecting to see a few horses but mainly throttle response. The box says 12hp but we will see.. I will let you know what I think after I get it installed this weekend and you do the same i am interested. I also plan to port match my upper intake manifold too. Have you done that, if not you should..

by starting at the throttlebody trying to improve airflow on a stock motor, you're pretty much working backwards

larger TB will be choked by the stock intake..replace the intake and TB with larger/better flowing pieces, and they'll be choked by the stock heads..

to make any power, you need to start at the heads..replacing the intake manifiold alone will usually net about 10rwhp,more if you replace the heads as well

so as the others said, you wont notice anything but a lighter wallet for now

Another thing to consider...

Although you now have the matching spacer for the 70mm TB, the TB opening on the stock intake is only 60mm (maybe 65). So unless you grind out the TB opening on the intake to match the 70mm TB, that new TB and spacer are useless.

Sorry to be giving you more bad news, but just trying to help you out. Go find you an Explorer intake and use a die grinder to open up the TB opening to 70mm and have fun!

I have the 70MM BBK Throttle body only thing is prolly better throttle response. if u wanna see it do anything try in get a GT40 or Explore Intake manifold upper n lower then u will see and feel that it breaths much better.

I'm sure u upped the HP a tad bit but mainly the response.

actually i think you will notice something

reason:
even though HP gains might be low the response to your throttle will be much better.
So its essentially in a way going faster ( if you get me)

not a total loss though, if your going to continue upgraded parts in the engine the TB would have been an eventual mod. Plus it will prob sound better with the brand new 70MM TB.

Main problem is the 56mm MAF. Not much gain from the TB except response and that goes out the window if the TB doesnt match your mods. Minor mods only require a 65mm TB.

+1
At least stop at a salvage yard and get a 70mm maf off a 94 or 95 mustang.
